A Global Freight Forwarding and Logistics Company from the Indian Subcontinent Region, the company presence marks offices in 18 countries with a skilled workforce of over 2300 staff in 60 offices.

Problem

While the company rolled out CargoWise One in its global offices, implementing the software in India posed a unique set of challenges. As India was the biggest country of operations with up to 25 offices, implementing a new policy for staff that was on the legacy software for 15 years, required a specialist service partner with strong regional capabilities that understood the local context.

It was also essential that data integrity with master data, and training staff on all CargoWise One system features was done correctly as India constituted the most significant component of the company’s global rollout.

Solution

SFL was able to utilize its strong regional presence and domain expertise in conducting the implementation of CW1 on CRM, Freight Forwarding and Finance Modules for the company. By using SFL’s CargoWise Experience of 70 implementations and in-depth knowledge of geo compliance, especially Indian Taxation - which is known to be complex - the SFL team provided software implementation, pre go live training and pre & post go-live support.

The SFL team also used its vast experience on Cargowise One to implement automated business processes, blueprinting and remote set up. This was then complemented by positioning key personal in each of the regional offices at the time of go-live, enabling data sanitization, audit reporting and guidelines for accurate master data entry processing.
